Why Translation?

My enthusiasm and passion for languages were aroused by the bilingual growing up with German and Russian. It has influenced my professional career as a translator early on. The occupational profile of the translator suited me. I always perceived it as a talent to be able to understand something and to reproduce it in another language. I loved to choose English and French at school and spent a year abroad. After graduation I decided to study translation studies at the University of Heidelberg.
